 Ladies C25K

Couch to 5k



Who is it aimed at?
The ladies C25K is a group aimed at total non runners.
Whether you've never run before,  used to run but have had a 10 year break  or think "I'm not going to be good enough",  then this is the group for you!


Where is it?
The group meets every Monday at 7PM at Plascrug Leisure Centre.


How long does the term last?
C25k follows  a 12 week/session plan.


How does the group progress?
During the 12 week period we will start off with a very simple jog/walk progression. As the sessions progress, there will more running less walking up to the point where you should be able to run 5K without stopping.
The progression will be even with no sudden jumps, so there will be no nasty surprises.

Add yourself to this group and everything you need to know is there.
You can ask any questions you have via this group.


What happens at the end of the 12 weeks?
By the end of the 12 weeks you should be at a level where you can go on  to join the main Aberystwyth ladies club sessions.
If you do not want to join the main club, you are welcome to start the next 12 week block again. But it will go right back to the beginning to accommodate the new starters.


What does it cost?
There is no cost per session, but we do require you to take a social membership with Aberystwyth Athletics Club at a cost of £10, this is for insurance purposes.
You are welcome to "Try before you buy" a couple of session to see if you like it before taking out membership.
